Instruxion conceives, designs and develops high impact multimedia content. This includes both tailor-made content for customers in different industries as well as general content products for use by multiple customers. Instruxion also offers free embeddable instructional content through its website Explania.com.

In order to expand its Explania.com platform, Instruxion is now hiring a Senior Web Developer.

Your Responsibilities:

• be responsible for the extension of Explania.com as a social media and e-commerce platform:
  • analysis and programming of new features
  • drive the platform using solid but innovative technology
• manage partners and freelancers on an ongoing basis: screen, coordinate and supervise external programmers
• communicate with management, marketing and production team to align planning of the Explania feature set with business needs

Your Profile:

• minimum 5 years experience in web application development (RIA)
• excellent knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, (x)HTML
• good knowledge of Linux, Lighttpd, CSS, XML, project methodology, application usability
• acquainted with ActionScript3, Zend Studio or other PHP IDE
• experience with an open source CMS and social media is a plus
• good understanding of the latest trends in web technology
• knowledge of English (written and spoken), Dutch and French
• pro-active mindset with strong communication skills
• ability to overcome or resolve technical problems
• analytical
